Stepping up the snack game

I read that eggs are a great treat to feed your dog because it is high in protein and has fatty acids and amino acids. So I wanted to give it a try! Since Cub loves sweet potatoes I decided to combine the two and make the ULTIMATE frozen treat. It was a huge hit!

Here’s what I did.

  • First roast the sweet potato for about one hour at 375°, mash it and let it cool completely.

  • Cook an egg hard boiled style for about 12 minutes. Let it cool completely, please! *

  • Soak up with water some of your dog’s favorite kibbles until soft. Save that tasty water :) !!!

Now its time to assemble - Make a layer of sliced hard boiled eggs. Add a layer of mashed sweet potato. Add the soft kibbles and finish with water. Place it in the freezer for a few hours before letting your pup go at it.

Needless to say I was very popular with Cub. Stay tuned for the NEXT treat variation.
